About us
We are a husband and wife team, Refa and Naz, based in the market town of Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd.
Our vision is for the restaurant to be at the heart of the community, providing a warm welcome to all. We have a passion for cooking authentic, homemade food and are delighted to be able to share that with you, our customers.
We were brought up on the south coast of England and we both come from hard-working Bangladeshi backgrounds. Our fondest memories are of our parents cooking together in the kitchens. Refa’s dad is still going strong today, age 70, in the same restaurant established in the 1980s. He is an experienced chef; one of the originals.
Naz’s dad too was a forward-thinking entrepreneur who had many businesses. Sadly he is no longer with us, but he would be so proud to see what we’ve achieved.
We are so happy to follow in their footsteps and keep the tradition alive.
